Lumiry’s founder and university admissions advisor, Walter L. Ingram has been working in the university admissions and advising field since 2003. Always interested in helping high school students, Walter provided university advising services at a local non-profit organization while working full-time as an engineer. In 2012, he was able to make the transition to educational consulting, while also serving as a guidance counselor for an international high school in Singapore.
It is the mission of Lumiry Educational Consulting to help families efficiently navigate the university admissions process and to help students find a university that is the “best fit.”
Lumiry Educational Consulting strives to:

Our Founder
Walter Ingram
Walter is dedicated to the student’s experience. He believes very strongly that each student is a unique individual who will benefit most from a highly personalized university admissions consulting experience. Walter attended UC Irvine where he completed a program in Independent Educational Consulting to bring the best experience to his consulting clients. He spends a great deal of time with every client to really understand the family’s true needs and concerns from the outset and is very skilled at making sure the student is a part of the conversation. He is passionate about helping students get on board with the process as a committed partner in their own future and to help them reach their full potential.
